Review: SkinStation's Dermax UV Sunscreen Line

SkinStation's Dermax UV Sunscreen Line

Summer is fast approaching and a must have to beat the ultraviolet rays of the scorching sun during this time of the year is an efficient sunblock. Sun Protection Factor which is commonly known as SPF refers to the amount of time one can stay under the heat of the sun without getting sunburned. For example SPF of 50 would allow one to stay in the sun 50 times longer than you could without protection. Knowing one's protection needs is essential in choosing the right sunblock for you. The higher the SPF, the more + symbols after PA the  better.

I was lucky enough to have been given the chance to try out SkinStation's Dermax UV Sunscreen Line and here is a description of the products as well as my personal review. This is a long over due review actually, and it is because I really wanted to try the products on a day to day basis and be able to get results.

The UV Milk  Anti-Aging Sunscreen with SPF50+ PA+++

It Provides maximum UVA/UVB daily sun protection and has a milky touch formula that provides intensive defense against UVA/UVB rays that cause sunburn, cell damage, dryness, roughness and premature signs of aging. Contains Vitamins A (anti-aging), C (lightens the skin) and E (anti-oxidant) to further protect and nourish the skin.

It feels light on the skin and is non-greasy. It spreads easily and blends well with makeup. It contains UV Milk which provides intensive defense against UVA/UVB rays that cause sunburn, cell damage, dryness, roughness, premature signs of aging, discolorations, and pigmentation.

It is Fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog your pores.

This variant is a broad spectrum sun protection which is safe for kids and babies. UV Baby is safe and gentle enough for babies 6 months and older. The breakthrough water rich formula leaves a burst of moisture as this lightweight sunscreen is applied on skin. It hydrates the skin while giving  ample protection against harmful UVA/UVB rays from the sun. It contains SPF boosting Nyamplung oil and gentle sunscreen ingredients that protect against UVA and UVB rays.

The UV Active Water-Burst Sunscreen  with SPF 45+ PA+++

This variant is a Water-resistant sun protection for active lifestyles. UV Active Hydrating Sunscreen creates a cooling burst of moisture as it touches the skin. It contains SPF boosting Nyamplung oil and gentle sunscreen ingredients that protect against UVA and UVB rays. Its water-resistant, water-rich formula is perfect for those with active lifestyles and is deal for the face and body.

Both UV Baby Water-Burst Sunscreen with SPF 30+ PA+++ and UV Active Water-Burst Sunscreen  with SPF 45+ PA+++  when massaged onto your skin, releases water droplets and gives out a refreshing cooling sensation. As the fast absorbing sunscreens are spread, no white cast nor undesirable oily feel is observed. Only soft smooth skin.

All the variants I must say are very light on the skin and does not have that greasy after feel. It also does not have that stinging effect to the eyes, which my little one really hates as much as I do. I have been personally using the three variants and I must say that they all work pretty well for me. I use UV baby Water-Burst Sunscreen for my 7 year old daughter and she never complained of having a sunburn after long exposures under the sun. One more thing that I like about the products is that they are very sanitary because they come in pump dispensers, meaning they don't easily get contaminated when bottle cap is left open.

Our skin should never be taken for granted. Not only during summer time, but all year round. Sunscreen is an everyday must have. It's a matter of finding the right one which suits your skin type and your lifestyle. Should you wish to try the said sunscreen variants that SkinStation has to offer, please feel free to visit their website, their Facebook Page, or their nearest branch.
